Tick-by-Tick Commodity Market Data Distribution

The challenge was to distribute real time, tick-by-tick, market data provided by commodity markets such as NYMEX and COMEX to real time risk management and trading platforms running on to wireless tablet PCs deployed on the trading floors of the exchanges.
The solution was to translate market data provided by commodity exchanges from ITC2.1 format to FIXML. Market data in the form of FIXML was published to a custom Risk Management and Trading Application running on wireless tablet PCs. We used an efficient event driven architecture provided by KnowNow to move the data over the wireless lan and over the internet to desktop clients.
Update times were identical to the big board on the trading floor of the NYMEX exchange.

Electronic Whiteboard for Commodity Brokerage

Brokers working in large groups across multiple offices were faced with being out of touch with current bids and offers in the market. The traditional solution was to use a wall board and a marker. Our solution built upon the KnowNow event router now enables brokers to view and post bids and offers to all other brokers, across all offices.
